For My Bonus Child focuses on transforming the lives of chronically homeless families through intensive, long-term support. Our referral-based program ensures we can provide the deep, comprehensive care needed for lasting change.Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Families experiencing chronic homelessness (12+ months continuous or 4+ episodes in 3 years)
  • Parent(s) willing to engage in intensive support programs
  • School-age children
  • Located in Miami-Dade or Monroe Counties
  • Demonstrated motivation to achieve stability
  • No active substance abuse

Program Requirements:

  • Weekly case management meetings
  • Financial literacy training participation
  • Employment search/maintenance program
  • Children's educational support engagement
  • Savings program participation
  • Regular progress evaluations

Referral Process:

  1. Initial screening by referring agency
  2. Documentation submission
  3. Family interview
  4. Program acceptance decision
  5. Collaborative transition planning
