Maternal Health Program Nurse
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $80,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
🔘 Oversee health services for expectant and new mothers, providing prenatal and postpartum support and education.
🔘 Maintain accurate health documentation for all program participants, ensuring compliance with Head Start regulations and guidelines.
🔘 Coordinate and ensure timely completion of health screenings within the 45-day guideline as per Head Start policies.
🔘 Develop and implement health care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare providers.
🔘 Provide training and resources to staff and families on health, nutrition, and safety topics.
🔘 Collaborate with community health providers to connect families with needed health services and resources.
🔘 Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to integrate health services with educational and family support services.
Qualifications:
🔘 Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license.
🔘 Experience in maternal and child health, preferably in a community health or early childhood setting.
🔘 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
🔘 Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
🔘 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on culturally sensitive care.
Preferred Experience:
🔘 Experience working with high-need populations and knowledge of Early Head Start or similar programs.
🔘 Bilingual in English and one of the primary languages spoken by the community (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole).
